This design honors the Waccamaw Siouan Tribe, a Native community rooted in southeastern North Carolina. The tribe is located predominantly in the counties of Bladen and Columbus, with strong ties to the communities of St. James, Buckhead, and Council, in the Lake Waccamaw area near the Green Swamp.
Known as the People of the Falling Star, the name comes from a traditional story of a meteor striking the earth and forming Lake Waccamaw.
The Waccamaw Siouan are one of the eight state-recognized Native American tribes in North Carolina, with a long-standing connection to the land and region.
Created in collaboration with Caroline Rogers of Carland Naturals, who has family ties to the tribe, this piece was designed with intention—keeping the artwork simple, meaningful, and grounded in place.
Printed on 100% premium organic cotton, this tee is soft, breathable, and made for everyday wear. No synthetics—just a clean, natural fabric that feels as good as it looks.
This is more than a graphic tee—it’s a piece that acknowledges history, place, and cultural identity.
